Lorna & Simon | Preview

Spring is just around the corner.. It was a beautiful drive through the Yorkshire Dales to make my way to Lorna and Simon’s wedding last week. I know I’m biased, having grown up in North Yorkshire, but there really is nowhere like it in the world. The views, the people, the pace of life.. every time I find myself deep in rural Yorkshire I always pause and make sure I take it in.. I met Lorna a year and a half ago when she was a bridesmaid for Steven and Natalie, and it was wonderful to not only watch her marry Simon but to catch up with them all again. Lorna looked amazing and there were so many beautiful Spring-inspired touches to their day.. daffodils, bright spring yellow wild flower bouquets, and a Krispy Kreme wedding cake… Oh my..

Here are a few preview pictures..

Samantha & Wayne | Lumley Castle, County Durham

Samantha & Wayne-442My first wedding of the year was a good ‘un…. Sam and Wayne married in beautiful Lumley Castle last month, in a navy and 1930s styled day. Sam has put in amazing effort to create so many gorgeous touches, and looked out of this world in her embellished dress and Juliet cap veil.. The pictures will say more than I ever could about this amazing day… Here are Sam and Wayne.Samantha & Wayne-008 Samantha & Wayne-016 Samantha & Wayne-018 Samantha & Wayne-019 Samantha & Wayne-021 Samantha & Wayne-030 Continue reading

January/February | Personal Work

This year, like every year, I promised myself to do more personal work. I decided to begin a ‘365 project’ – a photo a day for a year. I decided not to impose any rules on myself for it, which means most images have been taken on my iPhone (edited with VSCOcam), and some so far have also been taken on my Olympus Trip 365, Polaroid using Impossible Project film and my trusty Canon 5D mkii. I’m enjoying it so far, even if some work-from-home/glued-to-my-screen days are less inspirational than others. I’m enjoying the moodiness of some of them and the fact that my editing preferences seem to be edging into darker territory..Processed with VSCOcamProcessed with VSCOcam with t1 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with t1 presetProcessed with VSCOcam with t1 preset Continue reading

Mary & Mark | Preview

From meeting Mary a few times I knew their day was going to be totally ‘them’. I’d also heard amazing things about Newton Hall in Northumberland and knew it would make an amazing backdrop for photographs.. Mary looked amazing in her custom wedding dress, and shoes she designed herself, and the whole day was wonderfully relaxed as guests mingled in the Hall with cocktails, good food and good music. Some pretty serious disco dancing was happening as I left too.. Here is a little preview form their amazing day.Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-1 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-3 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-5 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-6 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-7 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-9 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-10 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-11 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-12 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-13 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-14 Newton-Hall-Wedding-Northumberland-15All rights reserved.
