Wedding season is here! I’m becoming increasingly busy as the weeks draw on and work builds up but there wasn’t even the tiniest chance that I’d pass up on the chance to shoot the latest installment of What Katy Did Next’s bridesmaid collection of headwear and bridal accessories. There is a whole team of wonderful suppliers involved who I will name-check when the full set comes out, but for now here is a teeny-tiny preview from our shoot yesterday..

Emma & Ted | Preview
It was quite a trek over to Emma & Ben’s wedding, but I woke up so excited that I couldn’t wait to get there.. I had a strong feeling it was going to be an amazing day.. I packed up my breakfast and lunch ready to eat on the drive over, a handful of mix tapes, double checked my camera bag and jumped in the car ready to travel over to High Offley in Staffordshire for their marquee wedding, to be held (whatever the weather) in Emma’s parents’ beautiful garden. It was such a wonderful day all about family, marriage, tea, cake.. and later some of the best dance moves I’ve seen in quite a while. Emma made her own wedding dress.. and her own wedding cake.. she got to the church in her neighbour’s vintage car.. the whole day was so personal and relaxed it was a dream to photograph. Kate | Maternity Portraits
Maternity shoots are something that (before Anna a few weeks ago) I’d never really done, and also something that I regularly see online. Forgive me, but the photography I usually see with maternity portraiture isn’t really my cup of tea, so I wanted to try it but in a way which is a bit more fitting to my style and my tastes. Luckily I’ve so far had the pleasure of working with two very photogenic mums-to-be.. This is my good friend Kate, whose lovely little baby will be arriving in this world quite soon, a little earlier than planned. I can wait to meet her latest addition and to see her 2 year old son Miles playing the role of big brother.. Here are a few from the bump shoot I did with Kate a few weeks ago..
