Jenson, Ciara & Eden

Charise, who made our wedding cake (check out her site, she and her husband make pretty much any cake you can imagine), asked me to come round to take some family photographs in time for Christmas. I met up with Jenson and Ciara for pictures about a year ago, but Eden has been a lovely new addition to an already gorgeous family a few months ago. Here is a little preview 🙂

Joanna & Andrew’s Engagement Shoot {Preview}

Today I met up with Joanna & Andrew, whose wedding I am photographing in August next year, at Hardwick Hall in Durham for an engagement shoot. Joanna and I could waffle on about wedding details all day, and she and Andrew had brought a few bits and bobs that will be decoration in their wedding and props for their photo booth to play about with during the shoot. Joanna and I seem to have very similar styles, and we kept suggesting the same ideas during the shoot (great minds must think alike!). Anyway, here is a preview of their wintery shoot taken in the park area around Hardwick Hall, I hope you all like it as much as I do!

Contemporary Kiltz

A while ago I was asked by Clare, a Fashion Student in Edinburgh, to photograph their line of Contemporary Kiltz (her family is based in the area). Clare has been making these modernised kilts for a few years now, made to a high standard with traditional tartan, but with a quirky twist in their design. Vivienne and Frankie came down to be toddler models, and along with Francesca and Betsy they all did a fabulous job. We ventured up to Whorlton Castle just outside of Swainby and then down to Hutton Rudby woods. Here are a few of my favourites from the day, and a big thanks to Gillian and Clare for asking me to be part of it!

The Tinkler Family

Last week I met up with the Tinkler family including their three sons. I was pretty nervous about photographing a group of brothers (I think I was nervous after babysitting three boys when I was a teenager.. and know what devils they can be!) but Harry, Fred and Charlie were a lovely set of young men, and Charlie in particular loved the camera! We met at the bandstand in Saltburn and headed down through the woods, climbing trees, crossing rope brides (yes, with my camera kit in tow!) and getting some lovely shots. Here is a small sample of what I got from the day, and thanks to the Tinklers for being a model family!
