Vintage Vogue Shoot

Following the pictures I took for Kayleigh at her shop, Vintage Vogue, she commissioned me for a photo shoot. She wanted an urban setting and a more rural setting to give a bit of variety. I had such a good time, the girls she asked to model were fabulous and we spent a good few hours running around various locations to get a good selection of photographs showcasing Vintage Vogue’s current stock. I gave the pictures a film style look again to reflect the vintage style, and am really happy with the results. Plenty more to come, but here’s a little preview of today’s work.

Bridal Photoshoot

I’ve been asked to photograph What Katy Did Next‘s fabulous new collection and I can’t wait! I decided to take my (taller and leaner) little sister, Olivia, for a bridal photo shoot to practise a few poses and techniques. Katy has a slightly different idea for the ‘look’ of the photographs for the shoot we’re doing next week, but you’ll have to wait and see! Here are a few favourites from the shoot I did with Olivia, stay tuned for the real shoot soon!

Vintage Vogue, Middlesbrough

There’s a new vintage clothing and homewares shop in Middlesbrough, and I’m already hooked. Vintage Vogue opened at the beginning of the year, and it’s everything you could want in a vintage shop, affordable, with a good selection which changes often, homewares AND they stock vintage childrens clothing! (I have been waiting forever to find somewhere that does besides eBay!) I got in touch with Kayleigh, the lovely owner, and before I knew it I was up there snapping and getting experimental with my fisheye lens. Go and check it out, it’s a little haven above Salvins the barbers near Angels Tattoos and Piercings. I tried to give the pictures a vintage/film style look- a style I ABSOLUTELY love working with, I’m shooting a wedding in this style in July and I can’t wait!

Arctic Monkeys at Don Valley Bowl, Sheffield

Last night David and I went to see the Vaccines, Miles Kane and the Arctic Monkeys at Don Valley Bowl in Sheffield. It was absolutely amazing. I only took my little bridge camera, but it has a 15x zoom, so whilst pushing David (who had had a few too many) out of the way to steady my camera on one of the beams, this is the only half decent photograph I got. I’m still feeling pretty lucky I didn’t lose my camera in the moshpit!
