The day after Valentine’s Day I headed far, far north to Woodhill Hall in Northumberland for Natalie and Andrew’s wedding. I’d heard snippets of plans at their Lake District engagement shoot last Autumn and knew it would be an amazing group of people and styled to perfection..
Here is a little preview.. A wonderful day with wonderful people..
Man, woman and dog. What a combination for a wedding. Add in a handmade dress, his ‘n’ hers converse, skull print touches, a drumming groom, surprise dance routines, a couple ‘pub’ quiz and CHEESE. Come on.. what more could you want?
Helen and Ed (and, well, Spud too) married in deep Northumberland in a marquee in Helen’s parents garden. They were such a wicked couple, totally into doing every last little thing their way, and the result was amazing. A day full of fun, laughter, friends, family, music, booze and good food.

Samantha and Wayne’s wonderful 1930s themed wedding was my first of the year – what a way to begin! There was so much I loved about this day.. Samantha looking unbelievable in her Juliet cap veil and pearls.. a wintery blue and white, rosemary scented bouquet.. *that* cheese cake.. the evening casino for the guests.. their amazing indie wedding band.. I loved it.

Laura Jane and David’s wedding was one of the craftiest and most colourful days I’d ever seen. They married at Preston Park Museum before having their reception at the Wainstones Hotel in Great Broughton. Laura Jane created so much for this day, including illustrating all the table names and invitations.. creating felt bouquets.. matching the cake, button holes and table centres to those amazing sunshine-bright felt flowers.. their day was so, so personal and every element reflected them as a couple, from including Alpacas at the reception (yes, really) which was a nod to where they got engaged, to having their dog Wazzle (who you may recognise from their engagement shoot) as a cake topper. Their quirky and bright wedding has also been featured on blog Whimsical Wonderland Weddings, where you can also read about what Laura Jane wrote about their day. Wonderful stuff, I love these two.
