Recent Press

Well it’s been a busy few weeks to say the least! I’m signing off for a week now as I’m getting married myself on Saturday and then taking a week out to go to the Lake District for some quiet time with David and our daughter, Vivienne. I’ll leave you for the moment with some recent coverage I’ve had from the UK wedding blogs.

Matthew and Lynsey’s Engagement Shoot was featured on Brides Up North and Wedding Sugar, blogs that I love that are extremely useful for local suppliers in the North East, and Love My Dress for the What Katy Did Next shoot from a few weeks ago. I have so much more to share from Katy’s shoot but it’ll have to wait now I’m afraid! Check out her new website though, and I’m pleased to reveal that the ‘Sally’ headband is named after me, which is very flattering 🙂

Back soon and wish me luck!

Lynsey & Matthew, Durham (preview)

It was Lynsey and Matthew’s wedding last Saturday and the whole thing was right up my street! They also have a love of all things vintage and retro, including a bit of film/plastic camera photography, and their day was just ‘so them’. I had a ball photographing it. They knew exactly what they wanted their pictures to look like, having been avid blog readers like me, and I knew when they first got in touch that we were totally on the same page when it came to wedding photography. Here are a few samples to feast your eyes on, and plenty, plenty more to come soon.

Dawn & Fraser (Favourites)

Dawn and Fraser decided to have a very English wedding.. with a tigers and tartan theme! The ceremony and reception were held at Danby Castle, which is an absolutely stunning venue with view of the best of North Yorkshire, and although it rained all day (apart from about half an hour for photographs!) the atmosphere of the day really made it special. Here are a few favourites from their day, I loved all the little details including mismatched crockery for centrepieces, bunting, tigers and the fact that Dawn and her bridesmaids arrived by tractor!

Bridal Photoshoot

I’ve been asked to photograph What Katy Did Next‘s fabulous new collection and I can’t wait! I decided to take my (taller and leaner) little sister, Olivia, for a bridal photo shoot to practise a few poses and techniques. Katy has a slightly different idea for the ‘look’ of the photographs for the shoot we’re doing next week, but you’ll have to wait and see! Here are a few favourites from the shoot I did with Olivia, stay tuned for the real shoot soon!
