The Tinkler Family

Last week I met up with the Tinkler family including their three sons. I was pretty nervous about photographing a group of brothers (I think I was nervous after babysitting three boys when I was a teenager.. and know what devils they can be!) but Harry, Fred and Charlie were a lovely set of young men, and Charlie in particular loved the camera! We met at the bandstand in Saltburn and headed down through the woods, climbing trees, crossing rope brides (yes, with my camera kit in tow!) and getting some lovely shots. Here is a small sample of what I got from the day, and thanks to the Tinklers for being a model family!

Tees Valley Weddings Shoot (Preview)

When Joanna from Tees Valley Weddings (a site to inspire and help brides in the NE) asked me if I’d be interested in a vintage vs contemporary wedding shoot at Whinstone View as the vintage photographer I jumped at the chance. I always get slightly nervous meeting more established photographers because I feel they’ll always know so much more than me, and that my equipment isn’t the best, and that they’ll have better ideas than me…. etc etc, but Michael & Phil from C & S Photography were lovely (their style is much more traditional) and I think the three of us together produced a good variety of images from the day showing a good variety of styles. Here are a few of my favourite shots from the day 🙂

Lynsey & Matthew, Durham (preview)

It was Lynsey and Matthew’s wedding last Saturday and the whole thing was right up my street! They also have a love of all things vintage and retro, including a bit of film/plastic camera photography, and their day was just ‘so them’. I had a ball photographing it. They knew exactly what they wanted their pictures to look like, having been avid blog readers like me, and I knew when they first got in touch that we were totally on the same page when it came to wedding photography. Here are a few samples to feast your eyes on, and plenty, plenty more to come soon.

Vintage Viv!

Kayleigh from Vintage Vogue loved the fashion shoot we did together, and asked whether I’d be up for taking some pics of my very own Vivienne for the children’s-wear section of her new website. Of course I said yes! The section in Vintage Vogue shop will also be called ‘Vintage Viv’ which I love. I took the following photographs to match the rural part of the shoot we did a few weeks ago, and again applied the film-style finish.
