St Anton am Arlberg

I took a little break in the run up to Easter and drove off to St Anton to do a bit of skiing and try and relax a bit before exams with my Dad, sister and friend.. saying that I slept with revision next to me on the bed at night and ended up doing more than I expected!

St Anton is so, so gorgeous. Our chalet was about 10m from the lift up the slopes and a short walk into the village. We all got a bit hooked on goulash soup and beer (an eye-watering 5-6 euros a pint!) at lunchtime and explored the area well during the 5 days we were there. Fell over three times, managed a few blacks and developed a dependancy on olives.

I can’t wait to go with Dav and Viv sometime in the future and see Viv in Ski-Scule!

Here are some faves..

Jemima Puddle Duck’s Baptism..

My gorgeous niece, Jemima Rose, was Christened on Sunday. We drove down to Sheffield on Saturday night and Rosie (David’s sister) and her fiance Jon’s house was turned into ‘the mad house’ for a few days! Seven grandchildren on our side and another 4 on Jon’s side, all of them under 5. I don’t want to boast, but Dav and I have the most beautiful nieces and nephews, and they are all best friends to Vivienne. As a family we couldn’t be happier with ‘our lot’!

Congratulations to gorgeous Jemima on your baptism, and thanks to Rosie & Jon for having us!

The Tinkler Family

Last week I met up with the Tinkler family including their three sons. I was pretty nervous about photographing a group of brothers (I think I was nervous after babysitting three boys when I was a teenager.. and know what devils they can be!) but Harry, Fred and Charlie were a lovely set of young men, and Charlie in particular loved the camera! We met at the bandstand in Saltburn and headed down through the woods, climbing trees, crossing rope brides (yes, with my camera kit in tow!) and getting some lovely shots. Here is a small sample of what I got from the day, and thanks to the Tinklers for being a model family!
