commercial photography middlesbrough

Two words: ICE CREAM. I was over the moon to be asked to try a little food/commercial photography for the Greco Brothers, who make a huge range of cornets, cones and wafers, and it was amazing to try my hand at something completely different to what I’m used to. Weddings are such fast-paced days, there’s a lot of running around.. trying to capture the day without getting in the way of it, working quickly.. To be able to step back, take my time, style what I was shooting to make the most of it and being able to alter and change how I worked with the natural light available was totally new to me – and I absolutely loved it.

I *may* have eaten ice cream for breakfast and lunch and dinner on the day I shot these.. Here is a little preview.

Another set of images for you today to work on the huge backlog of posts I have from this year! This shoot was for Pretty Twisted in Middlesbrough back in the Summer, (remember Summer?!).

Originally we had plans to get outside and get some relaxed, bohemian shots in fields, petals, wild flowers, long grass.. but at the last minute we decided to shoot within the shop itself with it’s candy coloured walls. It’s quite different to my usual style but I loved experimenting with lighting.. sometimes less is more and having a blank backdrop definitely pushed me to think a little more about how to work with what I had.. I loved it, and would definitely liken to do a little more commercial work next year. Here are a selection from what we got up to that day..
