I’ve just been putting the final touches to Rebecca and James’ album so it felt quite fitting to blog their beautiful Lake District wedding today. Living on separate continents (Rebecca lives in Luxembourg and James in Botswana) and planning nuptials can’t be the easiest task but these two definitely pulled it off with a wonderfully hand-made and personal day. They had legally said their vows in Edinburgh a few days before, and celebrated with a outdoor ceremony in front of friends and family at Seatoller House, deep in the Lake District before having their reception in the neighbouring field in a teepee. All the details of their day, from Rebecca’s co-designed Minna wedding dress to James’ zebra socks, really speak for themselves so I’ll let the pictures do the talking.. you can also read Rebecca’s write up of the day on their Love My Dress feature.

Natalie & Andrew | Engagement Shoot
I love the Lake District.. When Natalie and Andrew suggested Keswick for their engagement shoot I knew it would be perfect to have a wander and get some photographs of them and their puggle Bailey. It was the earliest shoot I’ve ever done.. but the morning light was completely beautiful and it was blissfully peaceful.
Here are a few from their lakeside engagement shoot.. Simple and gorgeous.
The Lakes..
After some increasingly dire nights out in Middlesbrough over the past year I decided to have a weekend in the Lake District with some friends for my birthday to celebrate instead. We played articulate, scrabble, ate pub grub, walked around Windermere and spent Saturday night out in Penrith for a change of scenery.. best weekend away in ages. Now I’m back home caring for my accident-prone husband (15 broken bones in the past ten years.. just had his snapped ACL operated on and he’s currently set up camp in a apres-ski style onesie on the couch..) and back to getting on top of work. Here are a few snaps from our walk on Saturday, I’m in love with golden autumnal shades – undoubtedly the best time of the year.

Diana mish-mash..
A few very, very late pictures from July last year.. our honeymoon (yes it really DID get exciting when we found a crazy golf course and a maize maze) and a handful from our wedding, as well as a few others (beautiful Liz and my equally beautiful ex-VW Polo).. My fave has to be the blown out one of tiny V in the castle ruins..
