Pretty Twisted | Commercial

Another set of images for you today to work on the huge backlog of posts I have from this year! This shoot was for Pretty Twisted in Middlesbrough back in the Summer, (remember Summer?!).

Originally we had plans to get outside and get some relaxed, bohemian shots in fields, petals, wild flowers, long grass.. but at the last minute we decided to shoot within the shop itself with it’s candy coloured walls. It’s quite different to my usual style but I loved experimenting with lighting.. sometimes less is more and having a blank backdrop definitely pushed me to think a little more about how to work with what I had.. I loved it, and would definitely liken to do a little more commercial work next year. Here are a selection from what we got up to that day..

Bryde & Rob | Maternity Portraits

It was amazing to se Bryde and Rob again.. I photographed their wedding last August and was blown away by what a gorgeous couple they made.. relaxed and laughing throughout a wedding day which was all about them, their family and friends. Bryde emailed asking whether I’d be interested in doing some ‘bump and baby’ portraits (which is a new package I’ll be working on and revealing details of soon) and I jumped at the chance to catch up with them and get some photographs of them both at this stage..

Here are the results of the first half of their bump-to-baby portraits. Their little boy is due ten days after their first wedding anniversary. The three of them make my heart melt..Bryde Rob maternity bump pregnancy photography -5 Bryde Rob maternity bump pregnancy photography -1 Bryde Rob maternity bump pregnancy photography -2 Bryde Rob maternity bump pregnancy photography -3 Bryde Rob maternity bump pregnancy photography -4 Bryde Rob maternity bump pregnancy photography -6All rights reserved. Kate | Maternity Portraits

Maternity shoots are something that (before Anna a few weeks ago) I’d never really done, and also something that I regularly see online. Forgive me, but the photography I usually see with maternity portraiture isn’t really my cup of tea, so I wanted to try it but in a way which is a bit more fitting to my style and my tastes. Luckily I’ve so far had the pleasure of working with two very photogenic mums-to-be.. This is my good friend Kate, whose lovely little baby will be arriving in this world quite soon, a little earlier than planned. I can wait to meet her latest addition and to see her 2 year old son Miles playing the role of big brother.. Here are a few from the bump shoot I did with Kate a few weeks ago..
