An oh-so-cute, bridesmaid shoot.. | Commercial

Wedding season is here! I’m becoming increasingly busy as the weeks draw on and work builds up but there wasn’t even the tiniest chance that I’d  pass up on the chance to shoot the latest installment of What Katy Did Next’s bridesmaid collection of headwear and bridal accessories. There is a whole team of wonderful suppliers involved who I will name-check when the full set comes out, but for now here is a teeny-tiny preview from our shoot yesterday..

Out and about.. | Personal

I promised myself that this year I’d keep trying to do personal work as well as commissions.. I love weddings and portraiture but I also love the difference of snapping the everyday, architecture, messing around with film, normality and taking out a camera with my for the day just because. Here is a little collection of pictures taken with my La Sardinia lomography camera and some from my Canon. I love the contrast of both.. and waiting back for film to be developed then sitting in the car flicking through prints is still one of my favourite things..La-Sardina-Alternative-wedding-photography-20 La-Sardina-Alternative-wedding-photography-32cinema wedding newcastle movie -11 Continue reading

Newcastle & Heaton Perk with Viv’n’Liv..

I love that Olivia only lives an hour up the road, I also love that we recently got a new car so now Vivi and I can drive up without worrying about breaking down! On Saturday Dav was at the football so we jumped in the car and drove up to see Olivia for lunch and a spot of vintage shopping at Judy’s Affordable Vintage Fair (simultaneously scouting out suppliers for the summer shoot – multitasking!).

I love, love, love Heaton Perk in Heaton, just outside of Newcastle. It has such a retro, eclectic, colourful cafe look, and they keep it simple. You can choose cake from the counter or get soup with a side. They even have games out for any children (or big children) that pop in.

And yes, Viv is wearing a black visor with a veil… What occasion could it possibly be for?!

Alice in Wonderland {Absolute Favourites}

Finally I’ve found some time to pick and upload my favourites from the so-delicious-you-could-taste-it Alice in Wonderland shoot from a few weeks ago!

It has been featured on Brides Up North in the past few weeks, where you can also find the full credits from all the wonderful suppliers who contributed and helped make the day run so smoothly (thanks!!)

Here are my ultimate favourites, it was hard to pick with so much gorgeous detailing going on!

Happy Sunday everyone.
