Let’s play catch up..

To all followers out there, I’m sorry I’ve been a little neglectful of my blog.. I’ve been tying up loose ends at uni and had my final exams last week (5 in 5 days.. whose great idea was that?!).. but now my own wedding season has begun I promise to be more attentive in the future.

Now I have slightly more free time I’ve embarked upon a 365 project to develop my personal portfolio and hopefully keep me creative.. The 365 project is a photograph a day for the next year.. There are only two so far but I’ll most likely post on a monthly basis to show what I’ve been up to on here and on my facebook site..

Here are the first two, a very lovely lady from Whitby Goth Weekend and fab couple Tracy & Chris from their wedding reception on Saturday:

In other news, Love My Dress have featured What Katy Did Next’s Alice shoot which I photographed..

I flicked through Belle Bridal Magazine and found a few of my photographs..

I’ve started collecting a few gorgeous wedding dresses for June’s shoot, and hopefully lined up a videographer to make a short film of the day..

I took Vivienne, my sister and her friend down to the first ever Wedding Institute in Saltburn.. Vivienne ADORED getting her nails done by Nancy Loves Nails and hasn’t stopped talking about them since..

And more than anything I’m celebrating having some flexible time! This week I’m taking Vivi to my friend’s farm to see the lambs, a Sal’n’Dav’n’Vivi day, seeing friends on Saturday, family on Sunday, leisurely cooking and family dinners..  and generally catching up with everything I’ve had to push to one side for uni recently.. BRING ON SUMMER!

Andrew & Meri on WWW

On Thursday Andrew & Meri’s gorgeous Winter wedding was featured on the gorgeous pages of Whimsical Wonderland Weddings.

Andrew & Meri gave it a brilliant write-up, which you can read at the bottom under the photographs, and even included a lovely shout-out to yours truly!

They are also part of the team behind Fight Pilot, the film project I have been asked to be involved with, you can read all about it here.

For now, here are my personal favourite images from their wedding 🙂

Andrew & Meri’s Winter Wedding {Preview}

On Friday I travelled to Rushpool Hall just outside Saltburn to see Andrew & Meri get married. I’d met them in the past as friends of friends, and last saw them around 5 years ago at a very lively New Year’s party (the less said about that the better!). They were such a lovely couple, and had planned a sparkling wintery wedding and reception in the Blue Room, complete with champagne colours, lace details, feathers and flowers. Meri looked absolutely amazing in a golden champagne dress with some of the best wedding shoes I’ve ever seen, and the day was a gorgeous celebration of marriage, family and friends. Here is a sneak peek at a few of the pics so far.

The Tinkler Family

Last week I met up with the Tinkler family including their three sons. I was pretty nervous about photographing a group of brothers (I think I was nervous after babysitting three boys when I was a teenager.. and know what devils they can be!) but Harry, Fred and Charlie were a lovely set of young men, and Charlie in particular loved the camera! We met at the bandstand in Saltburn and headed down through the woods, climbing trees, crossing rope brides (yes, with my camera kit in tow!) and getting some lovely shots. Here is a small sample of what I got from the day, and thanks to the Tinklers for being a model family!
