Jessa & Stuart | Trafalgar Tavern, Greenwich

Screen Shot 2014-01-14 at 12.23.31I hopped on the train down to London from Middlesbrough to shoot Jessa & Stuart’s wedding on a gorgeous Summer weekend. It was hot. I headed over to Greenwich on the morning and families were scooting and having picnics in the parks.. and people were starting to mill around the banks of the Thames with cold pints and pub food. Jessa was getting ready at The Greenwich Hotel London, which had the most amazing views.. and as I chatted to her Mum and Dad on the morning of the wedding it turns out their family used to live on a road about half a mile from where I lived at the time.. such a small world. Everything about this wedding was ‘just so’, gorgeous flowers, Jessa looked unbelievable in her pearl embellished dress, they had a really vocal set of guests who whooped and cheered them through the day, and as they did their first dance the most amazing golden light bounced across the river and poured through the windows of the Trafalgar Tavern. An amazing wedding and a perfect London Summer evening.. Diana mish-mash..

A few very, very late pictures from July last year.. our honeymoon (yes it really DID get exciting when we found a crazy golf course and a maize maze) and a handful from our wedding, as well as a few others (beautiful Liz and my equally beautiful ex-VW Polo).. My fave has to be the blown out one of tiny V in the castle ruins..

A Springtime South Shields Seaside Shoot..

Something a little bit different for you today… recently I did a photoshoot as a second shooter for the lovely Katie Byram up on South Shields beach and in Marsden Grotto (a fab venue, and literally built into the cliff). The day was full of wonderful suppliers who were all lovely to work with. I’ve never been a second shooter before, and decided to also try making a short video of ‘behind the scenes’..

So here are a few of my own sneak peeks and my little vid.. Hope you like!

Alice in Wonderland {Absolute Favourites}

Finally I’ve found some time to pick and upload my favourites from the so-delicious-you-could-taste-it Alice in Wonderland shoot from a few weeks ago!

It has been featured on Brides Up North in the past few weeks, where you can also find the full credits from all the wonderful suppliers who contributed and helped make the day run so smoothly (thanks!!)

Here are my ultimate favourites, it was hard to pick with so much gorgeous detailing going on!

Happy Sunday everyone.

Andrew & Meri on WWW

On Thursday Andrew & Meri’s gorgeous Winter wedding was featured on the gorgeous pages of Whimsical Wonderland Weddings.

Andrew & Meri gave it a brilliant write-up, which you can read at the bottom under the photographs, and even included a lovely shout-out to yours truly!

They are also part of the team behind Fight Pilot, the film project I have been asked to be involved with, you can read all about it here.

For now, here are my personal favourite images from their wedding 🙂

Joanna & Andrew’s Engagement Shoot {Preview}

Today I met up with Joanna & Andrew, whose wedding I am photographing in August next year, at Hardwick Hall in Durham for an engagement shoot. Joanna and I could waffle on about wedding details all day, and she and Andrew had brought a few bits and bobs that will be decoration in their wedding and props for their photo booth to play about with during the shoot. Joanna and I seem to have very similar styles, and we kept suggesting the same ideas during the shoot (great minds must think alike!). Anyway, here is a preview of their wintery shoot taken in the park area around Hardwick Hall, I hope you all like it as much as I do!

Matthew & Lynsey, Durham

This wedding was RIGHT up my street! I’ve been waiting for a while to feature Matthew & Lynsey’s day as it was featured on Whimsical Wedding Wonderland (here). As soon as Matthew got in touch I knew that I really, really wanted to photograph their day. He and Lynsey described a day full of “vintage school days” inspired touches, and even had sports day games after the afternoon tea service! I was in detail heaven running around all day and couldn’t believe how much thought they had both put into everything. They were even so kind as to send me a thank you card with a copy of their wedding video, shot on Super 8mm by Matthew’s Dad – they really had thought of everything!

Rather than gush and waffle anymore here are the pictures for you all to look through!
