If I knew you were coming I’d have baked a cake..

A few weeks ago I was part of a shoot to promote Lauren’s textile business Thimble & Bobbin. It was organised with a colourful, retro theme to show the collection, which itself takes influence from 60s fabrics and vintage homewares. We had two gorgeous models, Beth and Pippa, and we were lent aprons from Pinnikitty, headwear from What Katy Did Next, crockery from Tea with Ruby, art from Alexandra Garrity, dresses from Make Me A Dress as well as enlisting help for ahair and make up from Vintage Tinsel and Make Up By Jo, and we shot at some gorgeous farm cottages at Bousdale Farm. (Phew.. is that everyone?!)

The day went without a glitch due to Katy being super-organised as ever, and here are the results, which have since been featured on Love My Dress.

Hope you like!

Emily, Nicola and Stephen – a walk in the park

Nicola got in touch about a family shoot a little while ago, and suggested popping along to Stewart Park. Emily, her little girl, was the best little model and was perfect in front of the camera – I loved her! Check out her jumping jacks and those shoes.. unfortunately she informed they may not come in my size….

Vintage Vogue.. Street Style

Lovely Kayleigh from Vintage Vogue got in touch a few weeks ago asking if I’d be interested in doing some ‘street style’ type inspiration shots for her lovely clothing shop.. Obviously I said yes straight away! I love looking through her stock and always come away with more than I plan to! This time it was a miniature vintage Levis denim jacket for Vivienne.. totally worth it!

Here is a small selection from the day, all the girls who came were fab and styled everything up really well. There’s plenty more to come but my editing pile seems to grow by the day!

Retro Love.. A shoot.

When Katy of What Katy Did Next got in touch to see if I’d be interested in doing a retro shoot for Thimble & Bobbin’s homewares range I don’t think I even hesitated. Katy’s wonderful styling has been the driving force behind all out past shoots, and I knew she’d do a sterling job organising another shoot for Lauren’s gorgeously crafted bits and bobs.

Here is a sneak peek from the day…. Hope you liiiiike!
