Saltburn and a 50m scarf..

After I went to see Amelia & Ben in Albert Park on Sunday, I shunned uni work and drove off towards the coast, this time Saltburn.

It’s such a quaint Victorian seaside town, and usually relatively quiet.. Strangely enough the Saltburn ‘Yarn Bomber’ has hit! An anonymous knitter keeps leaving knitted artefacts around the town, this time a 50m scarf with an Olympic theme, complete with characters swimming, shooting, doing gymnastics and playing football!

It was gloriously sunny and Viv and I had a bit of time on the beach with Olivia (sister) and Vivienne’s Grandma Carole..

A Saturday morning in Redcar..

We were up early on Saturday to take Vivienne to her nursery friend’s birthday party in Redcar, then took a quick walk along the seafront before David went to work. Redcar is an old industrial seaside town near us, complete with arcades, fish & chips and lemon top ice creams. There’s something about the beach which makes you feel so small, and even though we were blown around by strong winds it was lovely to get out and face the elements..

Ben & Amelia, Albert Park

Today I took a trip down to Albert Park in Middlesbrough to get some photos of Ben and Amelia. They were such a cute pair, and we wandered around the play area before going to see the ducks and having a dance around the bandstand!

Here are a few favourites..

A night on the tiles..

As I’ve said, I barely go out at the moment, but last week I really needed to catch up with friends who I haven’t seen properly in far too long.. We popped down to the bingo (our old Saturday night tradition!) before going out for a few drinks afterwards. I took my film camera and snapped away all night. Here are three favourites.. (Does anyone else have a thing about feet photography?!)
